THE WORD
The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and is absolute Truth. It contains the Keys of the Kingdom and Words of eternal life. In it are revealed principles, insights, instruction, wisdom and understanding to fulfill our purpose and overcome through Christ's abundant Life! (2 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1-5)
GOD
God is Love, Life, Light and eternally existent as Alpha and Omega. We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost making a perfect Trinity where all are One. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7)
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin named Mary who was married to Joseph. Jesus lived a real life yet without sin. Through His life He bore on Himself the penalty of All sin becoming the only Way, Truth, and Life to the Father. He now sits at the right hand of God forever making intercession for us, having destroyed all the works of sin, death, and the devil. (Ephesians 1:20; Revelation 1:8)
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity Who comes from the Father and Son to govern, guide, and teach us the ways of God. He is our Comforter, and empowers us to live the Kingdom life. He enables us to carry and release the Glory of God. (John 14:26; Acts 2:4, 19:2)
KINGDOM OF GOD
The Kingdom of God is the central Gospel Jesus came to preach. It is spiritual and not seen naturally as being "neither here or there". It is the rule of God characterized by Righteousness, Peace, and Joy in the Holy Spirit. This Kingdom is driven by the Will of God whose plan is active today and eternally. (Luke 4:43; Matthew 6:10; Romans 14:7)
SALVATION
Here at Purpose Church we believe in the total Redemption of humanity through King Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ bore a real cross that He didn't have to, paid a real price He didn't owe, and died a real death we should've; He destroyed satan's works and resurrected with Eternal life for ALL! We obtain this gift through grace and that by faith, as opposed to human works. (John 3:16-18; 1 John 4:9)
SUPERNATURAL POWER & HEALING
We believe the supernatural power of Christ is real now and forever. Through the ministry and gift of the Holy Spirit, works of healing and miracles are made manifest for us. (Luke 4:18-19; Mark 16:15-18; 1 Corinthians 12:9)
CHURCH
The Church is the "Way of God" to establish His salvation, redemption, power and rule in the earth. Through the wisdom and ascension of Christ, He has set the Church, as His body, to function in Divine Order. We believe the ascension gifts of Five-Fold Ministry are alive and strong. The Church is the "Ekklesia" or "Called-Out Ones" that gather corporately to worship the Lord and proclaim the Gospel to the world. We serve as a City on the Hill shining to the purposes of God. (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:21-22, 4:10-17; Acts 2:47)
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
You are not meant to live this life alone. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, as preached by Jesus, is the Promise to those who receive salvation. He is the seal as sons and daughters of God! It is through the baptism of the Holy Spirit that we receive power to fulfill His destiny. The Holy Ghost desires to abide inside of His people and not in buildings made with man's hands. God is passionate about working with and through the people of faith; He does this through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (John 16:13; Acts 2:4, 19:2)
SANCTIFICATION
Sanctification is one of the highest expressions of God's love for us. Instead of judging us He saves us; and instead of leaving us He transforms us. We believe Sanctification is a must to see God, but is a process of maturity by which we are shaped into the image of Jesus Christ, the Son of His Love. Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit as He shapes us to become more and more glorious, from faith to faith. (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 12:14)
WATER BAPTISM
Water baptism is by full immersion and is a direct commandment for believers. Baptism in water is an external sign of our public faith. It's a public statement that we have died to ourselves and put away old ways of life, having been raised to a new way of life in Christ Jesus. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12)
COMMUNION
At Purpose Church, communion is a celebration of the Lord's supper, and a time of remembrance of what God has done for us. It is truly another act of Worship. We also believe communion is a relationship the believer must have with God through the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25)
RETURN OF CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ our Blessed Hope is coming back again! He is coming to gather all His saints to Himself and rule on Heaven and Earth, establishing His once invisible Kingdom to be visible to all. (Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Revelation 21:1)
PROSPERITY
We believe God wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health as our soul continues to prosper in Him. He wants us to walk in Total Prosperity: Spiritual, Mental, Physical, and Financial. In fact, it is He that give us the power to get wealth. Yet, our responsibility is to manage by submitting to His will and guarding from greed. ( 3 John 1:2; Proverbs 10:22; Isaiah 26:3)
